The Film Independent Episodic Directing Intensive is a three-day program that prepares its participants for a career in episodic directing through conversations with veteran directors, showrunners and executives to discuss the ins and outs of directing scripted episodic content. Six directors, whose work embodies the diversity, innovation and uniqueness we nurture and champion at Film Independent, will be selected.

In addition to gaining a greater understanding of what it takes to land their first episode and build a successful career in directing television, individuals accepted into the Episodic Directing Intensive are Film Independent Fellows and receive year-round support, including access to all our Grants and Awards.
