Stock, Mutual Fund, & Bond Donation Options
Did you know appreciated stocks, mutual funds, and bonds in a taxable investment portfolio can be transferred as gifts to support the Austin Asian American Film Festival (“AAAFF”)? Donating securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds that you have held for more than one year directly to AAAFF can provide you with significant tax benefits to avoid capital gains tax, receive a deduction at the full-market value of the securities, and simplify your giving. Please speak to your CPA regarding your specific tax situation, as AAAFF is not able to guide tax strategy.
In many ways, donating appreciated securities can be more beneficial than giving cash. If you have questions regarding the transfer process, please email info@aaafilmfest.org or if you are ready to make a donation now, please download our securities transfer instructions below.
