Artist Statement from I-Ping Chiang

Statement from AAAFF logo artist, I-Ping Chiang:

“I'm a second generation Taiwanese American designer and creative. I’m always inspired by my heritage and enjoy exploring the rich and often obscured Asian and Asian American cultures. When tasked with the rebranding of Austin Asian American Film I wanted to embrace the multi-layered Asian and Asian American stories and point of views that go behind the final crafted film. It’s a simple but flexible mark that can suit the needs of representing current and upcoming Asian and Asian American directors.”
