Renowned graffiti artists Estria Miyashiro (aka Estria) and John Hina (aka Prime) set off to educate youth in the rural community of Waimea, to find it’s ultimately themselves who are changed through an immersion in Native Hawaiian culture.
MELE MURALS, like the extraordinary art displayed throughout the film, utilizes a creative blend of hip-hop and Native Hawaiian influences and offers an inspiring portrait of two artists on a transformative odyssey.
